DRAMATHERAPY


Dramatherapy is a form of psychotherapy, which comes under the umbrella of Creative Arts Therapies.
It uses various creative tools, such as


  • drama games

  • mimicry

  • puppetry

  • acting

  • story making
  • movement / dance

  • art work

  • voice /sound,

to help individuals to express and work through difficult life and psychological issues.


It uses various concepts of psychology as its basis and can work within the framework of various psychological theories.


For Whom?

For any reason a person would seek help from a counselor or psychologist he/she may seek a dramatherapist. These include those with

  • mental health issues
  • difficult emotional issues

  • relationship problems

  • learning disabilities

  • abuse and trauma

  • difficulty coping with illness and

  • bereavement
  • stress management
  • any other life challenges



** Dramatherapy can be used to work with people of all ages. Clients do not have to be physically very active. No artistic skills is necessary in order to participate in dramatherapy sessions.


CHOREOGRAPHY / DANCE


The dance style mainly performed and choreographed is based on mainly Indian Classical, Contemporary and Egyptian dance forms.
